🌿 5 Minute Self-Love Rituals That Changed My Life (When I Had No Time for Self-Care)
Let's be honest—chaos doesn't knock. It barges in uninvited, flips everything upside down, and dares us to stay grounded. Whether it's a busy season with your kids, unexpected news, or just one of those weeks where nothing goes as planned, it's easy to push our own needs to the bottom of the list.
I've been there more times than I can count.
There was a season in my life when every day felt like a fire I had to put out. My calendar was full, my mind was scattered, and my soul felt... tired. I remember thinking, "I don't even have five minutes for myself." And yet, I also knew that if I didn't find those five minutes, I was going to burn out completely.
That's when I started small. Really small.
I gave myself permission to stop striving for a "perfect" self-care routine and instead look for the little ways I could show myself love in the middle of the mess. And friend, those little ways added up. Just last week, Sarah, a member of our BTB community, messaged me saying, "Carrie, after trying these mini-rituals for just two weeks, I finally felt like I could breathe again. It's the first time in months I didn't feel overwhelmed."
đź’– 5-Minute Self-Love Rituals for Chaotic Days:
Breathe with intention Close your eyes, take a deep breath in through your nose for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4. Do this 3 times. It grounds you in the moment. (I use my favorite lavender essential oil for this - linked below!)
Drink a glass of water like it matters Not just chugging it down while multitasking—but pausing, sipping slowly, and telling yourself, "I am worthy of being cared for." (My insulated water bottle keeps me accountable - find it in my Amazon favorites)
Say one kind thing to yourself "I'm doing the best I can." "I'm allowed to take up space." "It's okay if today isn't perfect."
Step outside Even if it's just for a minute. Let the sun hit your face. Listen to the birds. Feel the wind. It's a reminder that life is still beautiful, even when it's hard.
Let something go One thing. One expectation. One task. Set it down—mentally or physically—and let that be an act of love.
🌱 Why It Matters Loving yourself in chaos doesn't always look like candles and journals. Sometimes it looks like letting yourself cry. Or saying "no." Or giving yourself grace when everything feels heavy.
Speaking of giving yourself grace, this reminds me of conversations I have daily with business owners and families about protecting what matters most. Just like these self-care rituals, having the right support systems in place brings peace of mind. Life's unexpected moments shouldn't derail your journey to healing and growth. That's why I'm passionate about educating people about financial protection – because true self-care includes preparing for tomorrow while taking care of yourself today.
You don't have to escape the chaos to love yourself—you just have to meet yourself in it. That's where the real transformation begins.

Remember: You are not alone. You are not too far gone. And you are absolutely worthy of peace, love, and healing.
